THE HEALTH INNOVATION PLATFORM
The Galician Health Service, through the Galician Health Knowledge Agency, is transforming the way in which those involved in the Galician public healthcare system interact and participate within it. Through the implementation and management of an open innovation model with a social focus, limitless opportunities are being created for professionals, patients, carers, companies and other stakeholders to contribute improvement ideas based on their own experience.
The tool designed to channel these ideas and turn them into projects with applicable results in the day-to-day reality of clinical practice is the Healthcare Innovation Platform, developed by the Innovation Hubs network. Its primary challenge is to introduce changes agilely, replacing inefficient processes with higher-quality alternatives and extending them across the entire healthcare system.
From idea to project. In addition to evaluating and supporting project development, professionals within the Innovation Hubs network collaborate on the necessary monitoring post-implementation to ensure the impact of their results—meaning, ensuring that they truly deliver a substantial improvement to the specific healthcare service they affect.
Throughout the entire process, the aim is to streamline administrative procedures and decision-making, select the most appropriate funding calls, identify and contact partners, and provide advisory and support services in any other priority area required to transform the project into a new healthcare product or service.
Designed as a dynamic tool that continuously explores new participation methods, the platform represents a completely innovative approach to strengthening the healthcare system. Fostering an open, proactive and collaborative attitude among individuals, alongside the proper management of shared knowledge, forms the core of the Healthcare Innovation Hubs Network's actions in this field.
