The Health Innovation Platform is an initiative of the Regional Ministry of Health and the Galician Health Service, managed by the Galician Health Knowledge Agency, which facilitates connections between people, entities and projects interested in promoting innovation in healthcare.

The Platform is based on an approach of open innovation and collaboration, creating a space where professionals, patients, carers, companies, knowledge centres and other ecosystem actors can share ideas, projects and capabilities.

An idea or project may need knowledge, technology, experience or complementary capabilities to move forward.

The Platform facilitates matchmaking between innovation ideas and projects and potential R+D+i actors interested in collaborating on their development.

Connections can be established with entities from Galicia, Portugal, the rest of Spain or other actors able to contribute relevant capabilities.

Through the Platform, different actors can:

• Share ideas and projects: present innovation proposals and give them visibility within the ecosystem.
• Showcase capabilities: make knowledge, technologies, experience and capabilities known to other actors.
• Find collaborators: identify people and entities with complementary interests or capabilities.
• Explore new collaborations: get in touch and jointly consider possible ways of collaborating to develop ideas and projects.
